Hi and welcome to my personal blog!

Why does this blog exist?

This will be a place in which I hope to write about various stuff that I find interesting and that I think are valuable enough to be shared.
I will mostly write about my journey in the Open Source world, tech in general and probably a little bit about personal finance.

Who are you?

Great question! I will ignore the more deep and philosophical part of it and just stick to the basics though.

I’m Marco Perugini aka theperu, I’m a QA Software Engineer at Iubenda. I’m also finishing my studies at the University of Pisa for a degree in Computer Science.

In the past 2 years I’ve also started contributing to open source projects and added a few on my GitHub too. I am also the Project Manager of Sossoldi, an open source app for tracking your net worth, greatly inspired by Mr.RIP spreadsheet.

Why should I care about your posts?

That’s 100% up to you! I’m writing this for two main reasons:

  1. Keep track of what I do and learn
  2. There are a lot of blogs from people that are great and have inspired millions but they can also feel unachievable, I’m certainly not one of them but I still try to do my best and hopefully this can be a different point of view for some people.

What’s next then?

Hopefully in the next days I’ll be able to publish my first (proper) blog post, which will be about my journey in the open source world and Sossoldi.
